BlackSight Brings Night Mode Photography to Older iPhone Models

January 20, 2021

Starting with the iPhone 11, Apple’s Night Mode helped users to capture beautiful low-light photography. But anyone with an older iPhone model can't take advantage of the great feature.

BlackSight: Night mode camera

Using computational photography, the app can capture brighter images with little nose in low-light conditions just like Apple’s built-in mode. All of the processing in done on your device to protect privacy.

The app is compatible with all lenses on your iPhone including the front-facing camera. There are a number of great features to help snap the post shot possible like manual focus, a soft torch for illuminating very dark scenes, and a smart white balance to reduce any yellowish tint.

BlackSight can be downloaded now on the App Store for free to try it out. You can remove the watermark on all images with a $3.99 in-app purchase. Just to note, the app doesn’t work with the front camera on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

If you have an older iPhone but don’t want to buy a new model just for Apple’s Night Mode, take BlackSight for a spin.

It’s great that you can try out the app for free to see if the app is for you before making the purchase.
