Wireless earphone company Bragi is back with its latest option, The Dash Pro.
An 'ear computer'
Thanks to integration with popular app iTranslate, The Dash Pro can be used to translate more than 40 languages in real time.
A follow-up to Bragi’s The Dash, the new model provides one-touch setup for Apple and other devices. The battery provides up to five hours of playback on a single charge and the portable carrying case provides up to an additional 30 hours of playback after charging.
The earphones are also waterproof in up to three feet of fresh water.
Thanks to 4GB of internal storage, the earphones can store up to 1,000 songs to play on the go. The Dash Pro can also automatically track activity without the need of an Apple Watch or other wearable.
Probably the most interesting new feature is integration with iTranslate. Anyone who has purchased the iTranslate Pro app can use The Dash Pro to automatically hear translations of around 40 different languages.
The Dash Pro retails for $329 and can be purchased now directly from the company’s site. It will roll out to other retailers, including Best Buy, soon.
Currently only available in the United States and Canada, The Dash Pro tailored by Starkey is $499.
After making the purchase, you’ll need to make an appointment to have your ear canal scanned for a precise fit for the earbuds. The model also offers replaceable WaxGuards for long-term wear and minimal cleaning. Your name will also be laser engraved on the earphones and the external slide case. Beyond those exclusive features, the model offers the same features as The Dash Pro.
