Bring Jurassic Park to Your iPhone and iPad With World of Dinosaurs

A true illustrated encyclopedia resource for everything dinosaur, you can head to the prehistoric era with just a tap.

To begin, you’ll experience a 360-degree view of the illustrated landscape. You can even use headphones to hear a unique immersive soundscape of the era.

There are a number of ways to explore. One of the best is the directory with an A-to-Z list of all known dinosaur species. On each option, you can view information about the species including the location, size, and more.

For many of the dinosaurs, you can also view illustrations of what the beasts looked like.

Another great feature is the AR experience. You can select from five well-known species, like the Tyrannosaurus rex, stegosaurus, and triceratops. Bring one of these species to wherever you are. It’s also possible to snap a quick photo of the dinosaur.

Other fun features include a look at some famous paleontologists, a glossary with important terms, and a news section with new discoveries.

With a recent update, the app has also made its way to the Apple Watch where you can find out more about dinosaurs on the small screen.

World of Dinosaurs is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It’s a free download with limited features.

To unlock the large majority of the app, you’ll need a Prehistoric Pack subscription. That’s $2.99 per month or $19.99 yearly. The yearly subscription features a free, three-day trial and can be used with Family Sharing.
