Camera+ 2 Update Ushers in 48 Megapixel Upscaling, Redesigned Editor

June 21, 2022

A great alternative to Apple’s native Camera app, Camera+ 2 has recently been update with some notable new features.

Camera+: Pro Camera & Editor

Most importantly, the app now offers a UltraRes upscaling feature. Using machine learning technology, the app upscales images to up to four times what the native sensor can capture.

The feature upscales the images while keeping the details crisp and clear. You can find it as a camera preset or as a new tool in the editor. It can be applied to any photo you’ve taken, even not using Camera+ 2.

You’ll need an iPhone 11 or later, iPad Pro third-generation or later, ninth-generation iPad, or sixth-generation iPad mini to use UltraRes.

Other changes include a redesigned editor and a live histogram in the camera screen.

Camera+ 2 is a free download on the App Store and for the iPhone and iPad. With the new update, the app is making a move to the subscription model.

Anyone who has previously purchased the app will still be able to access the features you’ve purchased.

For new features, you’ll need a subscription of $3.99 per month or $17.99 yearly. You can also unlock lifetime access for $24.99.
