CES 2018: A Roundup of New HomeKit Compatible Products

After originally being unveiled back in 2017, Belkin’s Wemo bridge has officially arrived. You’ll need to connect the $39.99 device to your wireless router.

Once installed, the large majority of the Wemo products are HomeKit compatible and can be controlled with the built-in Home app or using Siri.

You can purchase the bridge now through Amazon and other outlets including Best Buy and Belkin’s site.

Long time HomeKit device maker Elgato has unveiled two new products at the show – Elgato Eve Button and the second-generation Eve Room.

As you could probably tell by its name, Eve Room is a wireless indoor sensor that tracks temperature, air quality, and humidity. All of that information can be accessed via Siri or the Home app.

The new model sports a small e-ink screen that also shows the important information.

It will be available in March for $99.95.

Retailing for $49.95 and available later this month, Eve Button will allow user to activate up to three HomeKit scenes with a single, double, or long press.

The new Onelink Safe & Sound remote is a smoke and carbon monoxide detector with a Siri twist. It will support Apple’s new AirPlay protocol that allows multi-room audio and Siri control for iPhone, iPad, and the Apple Watch through the Home app.

Thanks to a built-in microphone and speaker, the device can also integrate with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

The detector will reportedly arrive in April and retail for $249.99

One of the most unique HomeKit we’ve ever seen, the Nanoleaf Remote is a dodecahedron that can control the popular light panels from the company and other HomeKit products.

Each of the 12 different sides can be programmed with different commands. You’ll rotate a side to the top position to activate the scene. It will even glow while rotating.
