Chess, Cards and Tentacle Monsters Collide in Pawnbarian
The unique new game Pawnbarian takes your usual chess game and adds much more with rogue-like and card battler elements.
At the start of each game, you’re given a deck of cards representing chess pieces. You’ll need to play them to move your hero.
The final goal is to capture all enemies on a given floor by moving into them while avoiding or shielding from their unique attacks.
When finished with an encounter, you can replenish your health or upgrade the cards with more powers. A single run is complete after winning several floors with increasing difficultly.
To finish there is a tough boss battle.
A complete run can be finished in 15-30 minutes, making it perfect for a bite-sized gaming session.
Pawnbarian is for the iPhone and all iPad models. It’s a free download on the App Store that provides a short demo.
