Control Spotify on Your iPhone With Watchify for Apple Watch

October 31, 2018

Spotify users have been left out when it comes to accessing the popular streaming music service on Apple Watch. While Apple Music subscribers can add music to their watch and even stream songs while on the go with an LTE version, playing Spotify means going to the iPhone.

Watchify

But that changes, sort of, with Watchify. Instead of being a full-fledged client on the watch, the app allows you to control Spotify playback on the iPhone. So it’s a perfect option if you’re already connected to headphones on the handset.

After downloading the app, you’ll need to login to Spotify on an iPhone. Then it’s time to head to the Apple Watch.

When opening the watch app, you’ll see three sections - Playlists, Most Played, and Songs. The current song is also available to view in Now Playing.

With the app, you can pause, play, skip and replay songs by just using the Apple Watch screen. Rotating the Digital Crown will turn the volume up or down on an iPhone.

While you’ll still need an iPhone, Watchify brings a great way for Spotify subscribers to interact with their music on Apple Watch.

Watchify can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
