If you’re looking for an iPhone case that both looks and feels unique, take a look at Cygnett’s UrbanStone. Though it’s constructed of lightweight plastic, it has a rough texture that mimics a concrete sidewalk.
The UrbanStone case is slim and adds little bulk to the iPhone. Its precision cut-outs ensure that every feature of the iPhone is functional within the case.
What I liked
I’m sensitive to anything that might be unpleasant to the senses. For example, I find having my nails filed to be uncomfortable. I wasn’t sure how I’d like the gritty texture of the UrbanStone, but I love it. The case feels cool, and it’s enjoyable to touch. It looks fantastic and seems to invite touching.
Though it’s quite slim, it’s a decently protective case. It has a slight lip around the edge to protect your iPhone’s screen when you place it face down. Designed not to block any of the iPhone’s functionality, the UrbanStone case is hard plastic. Despite this, it’s easy to put on and take off of the iPhone.
What I Didn't Like
I understand that it’s a necessary design to get the case on and off, but I don’t like the entire top of the case being left open. I would not call this a heavy-duty protection case. The trade-off for its minimalist design is that it doesn’t seem likely to protect your phone from severe drops.
I don’t mind branding, but the logo is too prominent for my taste. It’s especially noticeable on the Light Gray version; less so on the Dark Gray.
