Dark Mode is Finally Arriving For Google Maps
Rolling out in the coming weeks, you can turn on the feature by head to Settings, selecting Dark Mode, and then choosing on.
You can now also share your live location via iMessage. To do that, select the Google Maps button in iMessage, and your locations will be shared for one hour by default. That can also be extended for up to three days.
If you want to end the location sharing, select the Stop button on the thumbnail.
Last week, the app added home screen widgets for iPhone. The first, and larger widget, give you one-touch ability to open up the app and navigate to home, work, or other locations or search.
A second option will give you a look at the current traffic conditions around your current location.
Google Maps is a free download for the iPhone and all iPad models.
