Download macOS Monterey Now With Redesigned Safari and More
Just a day before the newest MacBook Pro models arrive, Apple has just released the next major update of macOS software – macOS Monterey.
You can download the software on your Mac by selecting the Apple Menu and then About This Mac. Select Software Update to start the process. The download is large, so expect the entire process to take more than an hour.
The software is compatible with the following Macs:
iMac: Late 2015 and later
iMac Pro: 2017 and later
MacBook Air: Early 2015 and later
MacBook Pro: Early 2015 and later
Mac Pro: Later 2013 and later
MacBook: Early 2016 and later
The updated software offers a wide variety of new feature including Shortcuts and Quick Note. You can also take advantage of Focus that was unveiled in iOS and iPadOS 15.
Safari is also sporting a substantial redesign.
