Drive Weather Helps Makes Any Road Trip Safer
Long road trips can definitely be a dangerous proposition when mixing in severe weather conditions. Each year on average in the United States, there are more 1.2 million weather-related crashes.
But a new app is looking to make road trips safer. Drive Weather is designed to help prepare drivers for the weather conditions on a specific route.
To start, just select a beginning and ending location and a route. The app will then show the weather along the road along with an arrival time. You can see different icons that depict the conditions for the drive that include temperature, wind, snow, rain, and more.
Easily the most interesting feature of the app is the time slider on the bottom of the map. That will allow users to view the best time in the next seven days to make the top and avoid any severe weather.
Designed for the iPhone and all iPad models, Drive Weather can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. It includes a one-week full trial.
After that, an annual subscription is $9.99 per year. You can also unlock a week-long subscription for $1.99.
