Duolingo is well known for helping to teach adults new languages. But the company is going in a unique new direction with the Duolingo ABC app.
Made for children 3-6, the app focuses on both reading and writing skills.
The app was originally planned to arrive later this year. But according to TechCrunch, Duolingo decided to release the app early to help parents teaching younger learners at home during the coronavirus pandemic.
Only supporting English, the app is available in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
The app features small games perfect for younger users. To begin, you'll enter your child's name and then select their age.
Duolingo ABC is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
There are no in-app purchases or advertisements.
