New data from Apptopia shows that being featured by Apple in the iOS 11 App Store can pay some huge dividends for both games and apps.

Starting with iOS 11, Apple redesigned the App Store for the first time in history. In the new Today tab, Apple highlights both an App of the Day and Game of the Day.

And Apptopia took a look at how being featured in the prominent position affected downloads. It shouldn’t come as a huge surprise, but the difference was substantial. As you can see, being a featured app on a weekday drove downloads more than 2,100 percent higher than the previous day before the exposure.

Here’s more from the firm’s findings:

Three things are immediately clear:

Apps received a higher download boost than games
Weekday features are more effective than those on weekends
Free apps/games were downloaded more than paid apps/games

Along with the new Today tab, the store has separate links for both Games and Apps. Individual app pages were also redesigned and the Updates and Search sections were also improved.
