Gentler Streak Adds Additional Workout Types and More

April 13, 2022

Back in February, the unique fitness tracking app Gentler Streak arrived on the Apple Watch.

The app responds to your specific fitness level and then provides optimal activity levels in a personalized Activity Path.

With the customized path, you will keep a streak going by staying somewhere on the path and responding to the actual need of your body whether it’s rest, mild activity, or a more intense day.

On the watch, you can track a number of different activities. It will show stats specific to the workout type like duration, calories, distance, pace, and more.

And with a recent update to version 2.2, the app has gotten even better. Apple Watch users can now take advantage of additional workout types including dog walking, kitesurfing, wakeboarding, ice skating, mountain biking, parkour, recumbent cycling, rollerblading, roller skating, and more.

You can also swipe right on the Apple Watch app to decide which metrics to monitor for a specific workout.

There is also a new auto-pause feature. It’s turned on by default for running and can be manually switched on for cycling.

The iPhone app now features improved insights on the Streak tab.

Gentler Streak is for the iPhone and Apple Watch and can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.

You’ll need a subscription to take advantage of all of the app’s features. There are two options—$19.99 per year or $6.99 per month.
