It’s been a great year for Gentler Streak. Originally arriving in February, it was named as the 2022 Apple Watch App of the Year by Apple earlier this month.
A Different Kind of Activity Tracking
If you haven’t hear about the app, it provides a different take on fitness tracking. Apple’s stock Activity app rewards you for closing the Move, Exercise, and Stand rings every day.
It doesn’t take account rest days when your on vacation, sick, or something else.
The app responds to your specific fitness level and then provides optimal activity levels in a personalized Activity Path.
With the customized path, you will keep a streak going by staying somewhere on the path and responding to the actual need of your body whether it’s rest, mild activity, or a more intense day.
On the wearable device, you can display workout information and control fitness on the go.
During a workout, you can see real-time heart rate zones and the immediate effect on your body. You can also adapt the intensity of the workout for the best results. So you can turn up the exercise or down to avoid exhaustion.
You can track more than 85 activities on the Apple Watch. It will show stats specific to the workout type like duration, calories, distance, pace, and more. While in the pool or ocean, you can also lock the display.
And the app has just been updated with two handy new features.
Apple Watch Ultra users will be glad to hear that app now supports the Action Button on the wearable device. You can start and pause/resume a workout by pressing the button.
There is also a new 2022 Activity Recap. That will show everything you’ve done this year, the distance you’ve covered, and total activity hours.
Gentler Streak is for the iPhone and Apple Watch and can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
You’ll need a subscription to take advantage of al of the app’s features. There are two options—$29.99 per year or $7.99 per month.
There is also family and a lifetime subscription option available.
