Get Dinner Ideas Right in Facebook Messenger With a New Bot
You no longer have to leave the Facebook Messenger app when discussing dinner with your spouse or friend to get meal ideas. A new bot called Dinner Ideas will send you recipes regularly, provide you with suggestions based on ingredients you enter, and show you recipes for specific dishes you request, all within Messenger.
Get new recipes regularly
When the Dinner Ideas bot first opens in Messenger, you will be asked to select how often you would like to receive a new recipe. You can choose from once a day or once a week. You can also decide not to receive a recipe regularly and these settings can be changed at any time by typing in the word Menu.
Type any ingredient
Not sure how to prepare that chicken tonight? Looking for meal suggestions using wine and cheese? Just type in the name of an ingredient, or even a few, and get a variety of ideas. You will receive about five options and can just scroll to the right to see them all. Select any recipe to open it for all of the details.
Enter a specific dish
If you have a particular dish in mind and would like to see recipes for it, just pop it in and hit Send. From green bean casserole to beef stroganoff to chocolate cake, you can check out different recipes for the dish and choose the one that you like best.
There are a few different ways that you can get the Dinner Ideas bot for Facebook Messenger:
- Visit the Dinner Ideas website and click the Send to Messenger button
- Go directly to the Dinner Ideas bot link and sign into Messenger
