A New Google Maps Lists Feature Allows Users to Keep Track of Their Favorite Places

A new Google Maps feature, currently rolling out to all iOS devices, will allow users to makes lists of places that can be saved and shared without needing to exit the app.

Once you find a specific place in the app, select the place name and then choose the Save icon. There are already a number of preset lists available like Want to Go or Favorites. Users can also create their own lists.

You can find saved lists, head to the Your Place section in the sidebar menu and then choose the Saved tab. Any place you save will also display a special icon on the map.

Any saved list can also be shared through a number of outlets like social networks and messaging. Other users can follow your list and access it when needed. Along with the iOS apps, list can be viewed both online and offline.

Google Maps is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
