When you lost at sea in the new arcade-style game Desert Island Fishing, there’s only one way to pass the time. So grab your bait and tackle and start casting a line.
The 8-bit game is easy to play. You’ll just need one hand to start casting and reeling in the catch. There are hundreds of different fish to find and catch, and maybe even some other items you can pull from the ocean.
You’ll just swipe down and then up to cast the line to a specific depth. Just tap when the two hooks align on the screen. Then it’s time to battle the catch and reel it up by keeping the line free of tension.
During play, there are seven different islands to find. And each one has their own inhabitant with a unique backstory.
When catching fish, you can upgrade gear and power up to make reeling in the boss fish even easier.
And coming soon, gamers will be able to link up with their friends and play daily challenges together against others from around the world.
Desert Island Fishing is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
