Headlines App Update Brings In-App Article Browsing, Widget Improvements
Originally arriving in February, Headlines provides a great way to see the news that is important to you with a variety of home screen widgets.
And the app recently received an update to version 2.0 with a host of new features.
First, you can now view articles using the app itself. You can also open articles in a default browser like Safari.
With the app’s new home screen, you can manage smart groups, feeds, and tags.
Home Screen widgets can now also hide articles you’ve already read.
The update brings some great features to an already great app. If you’re a news junkie, it’s a great way to keep up with what’s happening with just a quick look at your home screen.
Headlines is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
You can unlock Headlines+ with a $9.99 per year or $1.99 per month subscription. A $24.99 in-app purchase to unlock the features for the lifetime of the app is also available.
That will unlock unlimited feeds, mute filters, instant article translation, tags, and alternate icons.
