Most well-known for its ad-free TV app for kids, Hopster continues to branch out to other areas of children's education.
As you could probably guess by the name, Hopster Coding Safari for Kids is all about teaching children some of the fundamentals of coding.
Made for kids 4 and older, the animal-themed game provides a number of different logic puzzles to help the critters get where they need to be. For example, the tiger needs to get back to her den or the penguin needs to get the ice hole in the Antarctic.
All of the different games will help teach concepts including decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithms.
Hopster Coding Safari is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free and there are no advertisements.
While the game is obviously geared toward younger children, its perfect to help begin to introduce important skills and build a strong foundation that can be used later by a budding coder.
