iPadOS 14 Arrives With New Apple Pencil Features, Universal Search, and More
Along with iOS 14, Apple also introduced iPadOS 14 during today’s WWDC 2020 keynote.
Universal Search and Scribble
Apple is making a number of changes to better take advantage of the iPad screen.
In many Apple apps like Photos and Files, there are streamlined toolbars and pull-down menus for better controls in a single location.
The Apple Pencil is becoming even more useful. With Scribble, you can write in any text field it will automatically be converted to text.
Data detectors will also work with handwritten text like phone number and dates. For example, you can tap a written phone number to take a call.
The universal search will allow you to quickly find information like apps or contacts and even getting questions about people and places. You can launch the compact search from any location, even other apps.
