A Steam game that hearkens back to the Golden Age of Animation is arriving on iOS tomorrow, June 21, 2017. Acclaimed point-and-click adventure The Little Acre is scheduled to arrive on the iPhone and iPad, coming to us from Pewter Games Studio and Curve Digital. This gorgeous title is something I’m definitely looking forward to playing on my mobile devices.

The Story and Highlights of The Little Acre

The Story and Highlights of The Little Acre

The game is set in 1950s Ireland, revolving around Aidan and his daughter Lily. Aidan is searching for his missing father when he finds himself magically transported to a strange, new world. His daughter sets out to help find him, and the adventure begins. The animation reminds me of some of my television and arcade favorites, and the game is fully voice-acted.

As the player, you’ll take turns controlling both Aidan and Lily during their adventures. The environments are drawn by hand, and the characters are vivid and colorful. Charles Cecil, who has previously worked on Broken Sword and Beneath a Steel Sky, is co-developer of the title. Check out the trailer for the game below, and then look for it on the App Store on Wednesday. Once the game is live, we’ll update this article with a link.
