Built-In LTE Will Be the Main New Feature of Apple Watch Series 3
Reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, in a recent note (via MacRumors), is providing a clearer picture of what to expect with the Apple Watch Series 3.
Here’s more from the report:
The third-generation Apple Watch, expected to be introduced alongside new iPhones this fall, does not feature an obvious change to form factor, according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
In a new note shared with investors this afternoon, Kuo says LTE connectivity will be the main selling point of the new device.
According to Kuo, Apple will offer Series 3 watches with and without LTE, much like the iPad lineup.
The first rumors of LTE capability for the Apple Watch arrived earlier this month in a Bloomberg report. Daring Fireball’s John Gruber also indicated that he heard the watch might offer a different form factor. But that apparently won’t be the case.
