You don’t have to be a musician to make great music with the fun new app Sound Waves.
Instead of having to learn how to play piano, just open up the app and then aim your device in different directions. The app uses motion data to know how your device is facing.
There are 18 different notes that you can play by holding down the screen to activate the sounds. With a silder, you can also change the tempo of the repeating notes.
When the notes play, confetti will fall to help show the different sounds.
As a nice touch, you can record a piece and then edit it to share with friends and family. You can capture what’s on the screen by itself or allow for voice recording.
While it takes a little practice to get the hang of it, the app is a fun way to see what kind of music you can make.
Sound Waves is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for $0.99.
