Minesweeper Genius is a Fun New Take on the Classic Computer Game

June 7, 2018

Anyone old enough probably remembers playing the classic game of Minesweeper.

Minesweeper Genius

While the game itself has been since almost the beginning of the computer age, it’s probably most well known as a built-in title in Microsoft Windows.

The objective is to clear a board of mines without detonating them first. You’ll receive clues, in the form of numbers, to let you know where all the mines are located and how to proceed.

And that classic has been reinvented with a number of fun twists in Minesweeper Genius.

Designed to challenge your logical thinking, players will need to help the genius Aristotle sweep the field of mines to escape from the scientific experiments of aliens.

To start, just like the original, you’ll need to read the numbers to see how many mines there are in each column and line. You’ll then flag the tiles which contain a mine and move the genius around them and to a portal to continue.

You’ll never get bored with an unlimited number of random levels. And as a nice touch, thanks to iCloud save, you can start playing on one iOS device and then pick up where you left off on another iPad or iPhone.

Designed for the iPhone and all iPad models, Minesweeper Genius can be downloaded now on the App Store for $1.99.
