Moderation is a Simple and Easy-to-Use Food Diary

January 7, 2020

Food tracking apps can help you better understand exactly what you’re eating on a daily basis and live a more healthy lifestyle. But they can definitely be intimidating and even time consuming to browse databases and enter all of your food.

But the new app Moderation takes a different approach to tracking your food intake.

For each meal you eat a day, and even snacks, you can select whether they are “healthy” or “unhealthy.”

And the app received a number of nice new features in a recent update. Thanks to interactive notifications on an iPhone or Apple Watch , you can now log a meal without even opening the app

Another new way to log your meal is with a Siri Shortcut. So just talk to Siri on an iPhone, Apple Watch, or HomePod to add the information to the app.

The app will no also show a 7-day healthy percentage indicator so you can better understand when you eat healthy and unhealthy.

Moderation is designed for the iPhone and can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. There are no in-app purchases or advertisements.

Additional features are planned in the future with a subscription. Those include custom meals, the ability to add tags to meals, advanced nutrition insights, water tracking, and more.

If you're new to food tracking, or or looking for something simple, Moderation is a great choice and should help you better understand the choices you make.
