In just a little less than two months since its debut, Apple Arcade is becoming a great place for truly entertaining and fun family-friendly games. And one of the newest arrivals is Monomals.

From Picomy, developer behind the beautiful 2015 platformer Heroki, Monomals brings together two interesting features - a fun fishing adventure and a music maker mode.

While those might seem odd, the combination definitely works.

There are 21 different ocean courses full of hazards to explore with one goal in mind, catch the different Monomals.

After catching the cute creatures, it’s time to head to the MonoMaker to create your own music.

The surprisingly full-featured mode takes a bit of practice to learn. But once you go through the tutorial, and play around with the different features, it’s a blast to make your own tunes. You can switch around between different music genres and styles for a unique sound.

In a future update, Picomy is promising to add additional features including the ability to share music with others and weekly contests to crown the best musician.

Apple Arcade is currently available for devices with iOS 13, iPadOS 13, macOS Catalina, and tvOS 13 installed.

You can try out the service with a one-month free trial. After that, Apple Arcade is $4.99 per month.

A subscription can be shared with up to six other members of your family with Family Sharing.

To subscribe on your iPhone or iPad, open up the App Store tab and then select the Arcade tab.

Select the Try it Free button on the top of the page.
