Netflix for Apple TV Updated to Use tvOS 15 Video Player
The Netflix app on Apple TV is adding a pair of nice improvements in the most recent update.
First seen on Reddit, and reported by 9to5Mac, the app now uses the built-in and redesigned video player that first arrived in tvOS 15.
In the player, information like language controls, sound, and more is bundled with he progress bar on the bottom of the page. You can also select and Info button to see more about the show or movie.
The app now also supports the new Siri Remote that first arrived with the 2021 version of the Apple TV 4K. It’s also available to purchase separately and use with other Apple TV models.
You can select to automatically update apps on your Apple TV by heading to Settings > Apps and then select Automatically Update apps.
To manually update the Netflix app, search for it in the Apple TV App Store. If it needs to be updated, select Update on the app page.
