Netflix Gaming Catalog Adds Dust & Neon, Tomb Raider Reloaded
Netflix’s burgeoning gaming catalog has just added two new titles—Dust & Neon and Tomb Raider Reloaded. You’ll need to be a subscriber to the streaming service to play either game.
Dust & Neon
Take a trip to the Wild West of the future with dust & Neon.
You’ll take on the identity of a Wild West cyborg, the Gunslinger, who is fighting an army or robots.
Robots that were once designed to help with life have taken of over the planet endangering all humans.
Cloned back to life by a mad human scientist you’re the last hope to fend off the robot hard.
In the top-down, twin-stick shooter features RPG progression and influences from both roulette and looter shooter games.
When playing, you will spawn at home base, gear up, upgrade and then find a mission. And be prepared to die as you’ll need to power up over countless runes and deaths.
There is a wide variety of mission types to select from like Kill All, Train Heist, and Sabotage Objective. The search for better loot will drive your mission progress.
Along with the drive for loot, there is also a number of unique boss fights to enjoy.
Tomb Raider Reloaded
Tomb Raider fans should be glad to hear about the second new addition.
In Tomb Raider Reloaded, you’ll play as the iconic Lara Croft. Featuring ruguelike gameplay, the procedurally generated stages provide a new experience with each run.
When leveling up, you can stack abilities and perks like piercing shots, XP boosts, grenade throws, arch shots, and much more.
And since this is a Tom Raider game, you’ll enjoy classic Lara Croft actions like shooting, running, jumping, and a handstand. The cartoon visuals help reimagine the Tom Raider world.
The game’s soundtrack features reworked scores that play homage to the legacy of the series.
Interestingly, if you’re not a Netflix subscriber, the game is also available to play on the App Store. The separate game features in-app purchases, something not in the Netflix version.
