Apple plans to announce new MacBook Pro’s sometimes this month with shipments beginning towards the end of October.

Citing a “reliable Chinese supplier,” Mac Otakara says that Apple will launch both a 13-inch and 15-inch model of its new MacBook Pro’s later this month. The company is also expected to launch a new 13-inch MacBook Air with USB-C and will discontinue the 11-inch MacBook Air model. Both new MacBook Pro models will also include Thunderbolt 3 support.

Rumors in the past have suggested that the new MacBook Pros will include four USB-C ports and will kill off all other remaining ports including HDMI, USB-A, the SD Card slot and the MagSafe connector. If the image below is to be believed, then Apple might end up keeping the 3.5mm headphone jack. Funny, right?

The big highlight feature of the rumored MacBook Pro is that it will include an OLED touch panel strip that will replace the function row at the top of the keyboard.

If Mac Otakara’s information is true, then we expect to see invites for Apple’s next even within the next couple of days. Until then, all we can do is wait and see.
