Just in time for Halloween, Night Terrors: Bloody Mary is using augmented reality to place you in a survival horror game.

Night Terrors: Bloody Mary

The game is from the mind of Paranormal Activity creator Oren Peli. So you know you’re in for one massive scare.

You’ll want to play the game inside, at night, and with all lights off. Also make sure to use headphone or earbuds since the game offers 360-degree audio.

As you could probably tell any the name, the game resurrects the legend of Bloody Mary. Start the app and say her name three times, and the horror begins.

AR technology will then take over by mapping your environment and then filling it with terrors like ghouls, ghosts, and other creatures. It also uses the iPhone camera and LED light to create more personalized scares by showing eerie text messages, phone calls, and photos and videos.

Designed for the iPhone, Night Terrors: Bloody Mary can be downloaded now on the App Store for $2.99. You’ll need to be running iOS 11 or later.
