Nine Months Later, Apple AirPods Availability Finally Improves
Apple AirPods availability has improved significantly in recent weeks. This news comes nine months after the popular accessory was first released.
New orders for the popular earphones made on Apple.com now show a shipping date of between three and five days in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, and several other countries around the world.
Apple first introduced the $159 AirPods in September 2016. After numerous delays, the earphones were released with limited supplies last December. Until recently, there was a six-week wait on new AirPods orders.
Cupertino’s “truly wireless” AirPods feature long battery life, a capacious charging case, infrared sensors, touch-based controls, and more.
During Apple’s fall event on Sept. 12, Apple showed off a new AirPods Wireless Charging Case that’s Qi-compatible. Rumors suggest the case will make its debut before the end of the year as a separate purchase.
