We all have our habits, both good and bad. And the new app (Not Boring) Habits uses behavioral science and the motivational power of gaming to track and build habits while helping to stop bad ones.

(Not Boring) Habits

Instead of acting as a simple to-do list, the app adds a big dose of gaming fun to build positive habits or break bad ones.

Each day you take action, you’ll move further along a journey that spans eight levels. Each level focuses on a different challenge in learning a new habit while offering support. The challenge lasts 60 days.

Instead of focusing on streaks, the app takes another gaming idea and saves your progress. You can pick up right where you left off on a journey if you miss a day or two.

You can chose a home screen widget to remind you of the journey. Simply tap it to see your progress for the day. You can set up widgets for multiple habits or a weekly view.

(Not Boring) Habits is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It’s a free download on the App Store.

After a 1-week trial, you’ll need a subscription of $1.99 per month or $14.99 yearly. Along with access to (Not Boring) Habits, you’ll also be have complete use of the other apps in the lineup—Weather, Timer, and Calculator.
