PAC-MAN Party Royale Brings Multiplayer Madness to Apple Arcade
A classic arcade character has made his way to Apple Arcade with a modern and multiplayer twist.
PAC-Man Party Royale is perfect for game night or any other time. Up to four players can battle on a modern take of the usual PAC-MAN screen.
All of the players can be in the same room, or anywhere in the world. You can just need a party code to share with everyone. Just to note, make sure all the players have their own unique Game Center account.
Each of the four players will eat pellets, gain speed, and hopefully turn their opponents into ghosts. The last player standing is the winner.
But taking home a victory isn’t easy. Anyone turned into a ghost can come back into the game by eating a PAC-MAN. That will turn them back into a PAC-MAN and give them a chance for victory.
As a fun twist, the famous 256-glitch from the original arcade game even comes into play. If a winner isn’t crowned after a certain amount of time, the maze will begin to collapse until one PAC-MAN is left.
More game modes are promised with additional updates.
You can play PAC-Man Party Royale on the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Mac.
While it is obviously more fun with multiple players, you can also play against four computer-controlled opponents to get an idea of the game itself.
Apple Arcade is currently available for devices with iOS 13, iPadOS 13, macOS Catalina, and tvOS 13 installed.
