Philips Announces Upcoming Hue App Redesign, Outdoor Lights
During CES in Las Vegas this week, Philips has announced a number of notable news about the popular Hue line of connected lighting.
The new outdoor lights will arrive sometime this summer.
First up, Philips announced that a redesigned Hue app will arrive in the second quarter of the year.
The app was redesigned partly based on comments, feedback, and idea from Hue users. Notable feature will include the return of the color picker and the ability to quickly access the last used scenes.
Another new app for Hue users, arriving in the second quarter, is Hue Sync. For any computer with macOS High Sierra or Windows 10, it will allow users to create light scripts for games, movies, or music.
Philips also announced that a new outdoor line of Hue lighting is in the works and will arrive sometime this summer. No further information was given.
