One of the top photo and video editors available on the App Store, Darkroom, has added even more features with two recent updates.
Share Your Presets With Others
First up, you can now share custom presets you’ve created in the app with others via a link. To do that, select the preset and view its options. Then select share with anyone.. They don’t have to have Darkroom installed.
With the link, others can preview and install all of the presets with just a tap. To see how popular your preset is, you can see how many times it has been installed and how many photos and videos have been exported using it.
When sharing the preset with others, they will be able to see a preview of what it will look like with a wide variety of subjects, scenes, and lighting conditions.
You can also choose to unshare the preset if you choose. In the Preset Options, select unshare.
And to help you get started, take a look at Darkroom’s blog that offers 20 community presets to use.
Another recent update brought upgraded highlight and shadow recovery. The exposure recovery sliders improve the recovery range and refines the final results. While the sliders work for all images types, the best results are seen with RAW images because of the larger amount of detail captured.
You can take a look at what can be done with the new sliders here. The results look fantastic.
It’s even possible for you to upgraded an image you’ve previously edited in the app by resetting edits.
Darkroom is a free download for the iPhone, all iPad models, and Mac.
To unlock all features, you’ll need a Darkroom+ subscription, which is now $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year. There is also a one-time payment option of $74.99 available.
If you’re looking for a powerful, all-around way to edit images and videos, Darkroom is hard to beat. It offers a great variety of features and is easy to use.
