Podcast App Castro Updated With New Curated Section, Live Search and More
Popular podcast app Castro has recently been updated with curated selections and more.
Most importantly, in the Discovery section of the app, you can find featured podcasts on category charts along with curated recommendations. There will be new collections of curated podcasts added weekly.
When searching for a specific podcast, that will happen live as you type and should feature more accurate results. And you can even subscribe directly to a podcast from the search results instead of needing to opening the podcast information.
The most recent update also brings a number of bug fixes and other small changes.
Back in 2018, Castro was updated with an Apple Watch app that allows users to control podcast playback and choose new episodes from the queue to play.
Castro is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
You can take advantage of a one-week free trial of Castro Plus. After that, it will cost $3 for a three-month subscription or $9 for a year.
That subscription offers a number of more advanced features. Some of those include the ability to trim silence, set a start position for episodes of each podcast, and to skip or select chapters in certain podcasts.
