Podcast App Cosmicast Brings an Old-School Skeuomorphic Touch

The app features a fun skeuomorphic element. When a podcast is playing, you’ll see a record on a turntable featuring the podcast logo. You can swipe the turntable to fast forward or rewind a podcast episode.

Similar skeuomorphic elements were popular up until iOS 7.

The app highlights popular podcasts and also allows you to search by topic. You can easily add favorites to a library to listen to.

While listening to a podcast, you can swipe up on the player view to quickly view all of the podcast lists.

And you’ll be able to listen to your favorite podcasts anywhere as one purchase covers the universal app for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac.

A future update will add support for Apple CarPlay and chapter markers.
