Readdle's Scanner Pro Updated With Redesign, Automatic OCR and More
Readdle’s Scanner Pro app has just been updated with some big new features and a move to the freemium model.
Text Vision
One of the biggest changes is a new design to help organize and work with your documents.
There is now a list view to quickly see scans in a list. You can also more quickly create a folder and access search. You can also sort scans by name, date created, or date modified.
The Text Vision is automatic OCR that will recognize the texts of scans in 26 languages. The text is searchable and selectable.
Finally, you can now also search the complete text of your scans. Previously, you can only search the titles.
Scanner Pro is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
The Scanner Pro Plus subscription is required for a number of features. Subscribers can take advantage of watermark free scans, automatically upload scans to the cloud, use smart workflows, use the Text Vsion feature, full-text search in documents, and password protect the app and any shared PDFs.
A subscription is $19.99 yearly.
And the good news for anyone who has previously purchased the app is that all of the new features are currently free.
