Ring Unveils its Latest Home Security Device - Spotlight Cam
Ring’s line of home security devices is growing. The company just announced the new Ring Spotlight Camera that is available in three variants – a wired version along with a battery or solar powered edition.
The Spotlight Cam Solar includes a solar panel to keep batteries charged.
Already known for its line of video doorbells, the company introduced its Floodlight Cam earlier this year.
The Spotlight Camera offers homeowners another great option that combines motion-enabled LED lightning and a high-definition video camera. It also offers two-way audio to speak with anyone in the view of the camera.
Along with providing alerts to the companion smartphone app, the camera will capture anything in its 140-degrees of view. Any motion within a 270-degree field will automatically switch on the lights.
The $199 wired version of the Spotlight Camera can be ordered now directly from Ring’s site. It will ship in 7-10 days. Both the battery and solar powered versions can be preordered starting today and will be available sometime this fall. They will retail for $199 and $229 respectively. The solar version offers a panel to charge the two batteries.
