RSS Reader NetNewsWire Updated With Home Screen Widgets, Reddit Integration
The completely free and open source RSS reader, NetNewsWire, has just been updated to version 6.0 with the addition of some great new features.
Widget fans will be happy to see that the app offers three types of options for your Smart Feeds. You can select from a Today, Unread, and Starred Widget. All three are available in medium and large.
When you tap an article, it will automatically open up the app and show the story. Tapping elsewhere will open the app.
You can now also take advantage of iCloud sync so feeds will be updated no matter what Apple device you are using.
In the update, you can now also view Twitter and Reddit posts.
Finally, the updated adds five additional third-party sync services: BazQux, Inoreader, NewsBlur, The Old Reader, and FreshRSS.
NetNewsWire is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded on the App Store.
There is also a Mac version available.
