September 7, 2016

Are you going to order the next iPhone? You’re in luck because it looks like the “iPhone 7” will ship earlier than expected.

According to iPhoneItalia, the phone will be available through Italian carriers TIM, 3, and, most likely, Vodafone on Friday, Sept. 16. Previously, it looked like the iPhone 7 ship date would be one week later on Friday, Sept. 23. An attached image also seems to confirm the iPhone 7 name.

Last year, the iPhone 6s was announced on Wednesday, Sept. 9, with pre-orders beginning Saturday, Sept. 12. It launched on Sept. 25.

In 2015, Italy was not among the first countries to get the iPhone 6s/6s Plus. Those countries included Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Apple’s iPhone 7 event begins at 10 a.m. PDT.
