See the Weather As it Happens on a 3D Globe Using Ventusky
Landing in 2017, Ventusky: 3D Weather Maps provides a beautiful and unique take on the usual weather app.
Along with a weather forecast, the app provides a 3D maps showing how the weather is developing around you. So, for example, it’s easy to see where the precipitations is coming from or which direction the wind is blowing.
Some of the other varied layers you can view on the weather map include humidity, dew point, air pressure, freezing level, and many more.
All total, you can view more than 50 different layers.
And with a recent update, the app has gotten a great addition.
Starting with version 10.0, the app will show all of the weather layers on a 3D globe. That will allow you to see maps without any distortion.
Another addition in the update is a layer that shows new snow cover. It will allow you to see how much snow is forecasted to fall at a location in the next few days.
Ventusky is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for $2.99.
