The Stagg EKG is the Most Beautiful Smart Electric Kettle You Can Buy
If you’re someone who considers themselves a coffee connoisseur, then you know the importance of having precise temperature-controlled water for when you brew your coffee. While there are a few options out there, the new Stagg EKG by Fellow is not only is the most beautiful electric kettle we’ve ever seen, but it also packs in smarts that take this electric kettle beyond any electric kettle out there.
The Stagg EKG
The Stagg EGK is a minimalist-looking electric pour-over kettle designed for coffee and tea lovers. It features a simple pop-up knob on the right side of the base that lets you quickly adjust the desired water temperature ranging from 135°F to 212°F. On the left side of the base is a simple black LCD screen indicates the desired “Set Temperature” and the “Real Time Temperature” with an illuminating element to show the heating progress.

There’s also a “hold” option, which many coffee enthusiasts might know about. This feature allows the Stagg EKG to hold your desired temperature for 30 minutes just in case you have other things going on and can’t get to your water right away.
Stagg EGK+ iPad App
It doesn’t end there, though. The company also has a model they’re calling the Stagg EKG+. This model features everything the base Stagg EKG, but it also has the ability to work with an incredibly intuitive smartphone app powered by Acaia. Not only can you set and monitor water temperatures remotely from your smartphone or tablet, but you can also keep track of previous recipes, making it easier to replicate your success the next time you make that same cup of coffee or tea.
The Stagg EKG+ also works with the Acaia Pearl scale which is a beautifully designed coffee scale that monitors weight, time, and flow-rates of your coffee.
So when can you get one of these bad boys? The company is raising funds right now via Kickstarter and with plans to ship September 2017. Fellow humorously says that if they don’t meet that 2017 deadline, they’ll include a free watermelon slicer with each kettle.
For the record, I’ve actually used Fellow products in the past and have found them to be excellent. In fact, I drink out of a Fellow coffee mug every day.
You can pledge $109 to get the Stagg EKG or you can pledge $149 to get the Stagg EKG+. If you’re a lover of good design and coffee, then this product feels like a must.
