T-Mobile's DIGITS Service Exits Beta Testing, Will Launch Next Week
Originally announced late last year, T-Mobile’s DIGITS service has moved past beta testing and will launch to all subscribers later this month on Wednesday, May 31.
On that date, every T-Mobile customer’s phone number will be transferred to the new service. Another DIGITS line can be added for $10 per month with AutoPay. For a limited time, anyone on the T-Mobile ONE plan will also receive an extra DIGITS line for no charge.
T-Mobile’s DIGITS will allow users to assign more than one phone number to a single device. It will also allow users to answer calls to a specific number on any Internet-connected device.
While the service is built into some Android phones, any iPhone or iPad users will need to download a specific app. The service can be used on a Mac and other computers through a browser.
Customers can use the service with phone numbers tied to other networks like AT&T and Verizon.
More information about the feature can be found on T-Mobile’s site now.
