Tasks is a Great Replacement for Apple’s Stock Reminders App
If you’re using Apple’s stock Reminders app but are looking for an alternative with more features and customization options, make sure to take a look at the new app Tasks.
The app takes number of cues from Reminders so it’s easy to get started. Along with being able to import existing reminders, you can also bring checklists into the app from the Notes app.
One of the best features of the app is the ability to make custom states for each to-do. So instead of the usual options, you can create different choices like Todo, In Progress, Check, Done or whatever else best fits your workflow.
When it comes to to creating tasks, the app will provide automatic date detection and even suggest tags. With each to-do, you can add images, notes, and more to each task.
Anyone with an iPad can take advantage of a number of great features including multiple windows, keyboard, and mouse/trackpad support. There is also a dark mode for both iPhone and iPad.
While there are many different to-do apps available, Tasks does a great job improving Apple’s stock option but still making it simple enough to pick and up quickly master.
Tasks is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. You can create up to two projects with the free version.
You’ll need a Tasks Plus subscriptions to unlock a number of other features including an unlimited number of projects and iCloud sync. That’s $9.99 yearly. You can also purchase lifetime access for all of the features for $34.99.
A Mac app is promised in the future as part of a universal purchase.
