The Fun Adventure Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap Lands on the App Store
A retro classic with a fun history, Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap, has finally made its way to the App Store.
The original game - known as Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap -was published in 1989 for the little-known SEGA Master System console. But the game was well received thanks to its mix of great graphics and sound along with fun gameplay.
It made a return to modern gaming in 2017 with a remake supporting remastered visuals and tons of other additions.
Optimized for mobile play, the game finds Hu-Man cursed into a half-lizard, half-human. He will spend the game trying to search for a cure and battle bad guys on his adventure. Along with that classic character, you can also play as the long-awaited Hu-Girl.
Players can also select other characters like Lizard-Man, Mouse-Man, Pirahna-Man, Lion-Man, and Hawk-Man to find other secrets.
Accessible to all levels of gamers, there are three difficulty levels to select from. As a fun touch, you can switch from the modern gameplay to the 8-bit version with just a tap, even during the middle of a level.
A universal app, Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is playable on iPhone, all iPad models, and Apple TV. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for $5.99.
