Call it the “iPhone 6 SE”?

Sketchy images have been released that suggest the next Apple handset will be called the “iPhone 6 SE.” First released by Techtastic, the images clearly show the iPhone 6 SE name both on the side of the box and on the instruction manual.

As I mentioned last week, it’s entirely possible that Apple will forgo using the “iPhone 7” name until next year. However, I still don’t believe this to be the case. Yeah, I’m calling these images out as fakes.

Woz wants his headphone jack

Steve Wozniak isn’t too happy that Apple is planning to remove the headphone jack on the “iPhone 7.” According to The Australian Financial Review, the Apple co-founder notes:

If it’s missing the 3.5mm earphone jack, that’s going to tick off a lot of people … I would not use Bluetooth … I don’t like wireless. I have cars where you can plug in the music, or go through Bluetooth, and Bluetooth just sounds so flat for the same music.

Apple is expected to unveil the new iPhone on Sept. 7.
