Heart rate zone training is a great way to maximize your workout. Some of the advantages include reduce risk or fatigue and maximum fat burn and weight loss.
And the new The Zones App wants to help make it easier to visualize how hard you're working on the Apple Watch.
During a workout, you can just glance down to the Apple Watch display to see your current heart rate. The app uses your beats per minute and percent of maximum heart rate.
To begin, you can select from five heart rate zones models to select from, including some inspired by popular fitness brands like Peloton, NordicTrack, and Echelon.
All of the data captured during a workout is integrated with Apple Health so you can fill those Daily Activity rings.
The Zones App is designed for the iPhone and can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. Any workouts of 20 minutes or less is free.
With a $9.99 in-app purchase, you can upgrade to workouts of unlimited minutes.
