Tide Alert Update Brings New Look Apple Watch App, Support for 400 More Tide Stations in the U.S.
If you love to be near or on the water, Tide Alert is a must-have app.
As you could probably tell by the name, the app provides tide forecast data from NOAA and a moon phase calendar. You can setup alerts for high and low tide each day. And the app doesn’t need to be connected to the Internet to work.
And the app has just received a nice update with a number of improvements.
First up, the Apple Watch app has been completely rebuilt. It’s now standalone and doesn’t need an iPhone nearby. It also supports new complications for your watch face and the ability to select a station directly from the watch.
The app has also added support for 400 new tide stations in the United States. It also brings new home screen widgets in two sizes, small and medium.
Tide Alert is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It’s a free download on the App Store.
To use most of the app’s features, you’ll need a subscription of $11.99 per year or $3.99 for three months of access. A one-week free trial is available.
If you previously purchased the app when it was paid, you’ll not need to use a subscription.
